Hello!
One of the reasons why I think “Kumamoto is great” is…
Because the water is delicious!
This time, I’ll introduce a natural spring water spot.
Believe it or not, there are even regular visitors coming all the way from Saga and Fukuoka! 🚗✨

At the entrance of Takema Gorge, there is “Yunomizu Park.”
Although it is called a park, there are no playground equipment—just a parking space and three spouts where spring water flows out, making it feel more like a “slightly open space.”
There is also a narrow path leading down to the gorge, which seems perfect for playing in the river during summer.

Coffee and tea made with the water drawn from here have a distinctly richer taste.
By the way, the local “Takema Tea” is also well-known.
Brewing this Takema Tea with this spring water is the ultimate luxury (at least for me).
Chilling it in the fridge and drinking it after a bath is simply the best!
Once you’ve finished collecting the water, be sure to visit the small shrine dedicated to the water deity to offer your gratitude…
And don’t forget to thank those who take care of this place as well.
I’ll be back again!
